BREAKING: BARR MFON BEN FORMALLY WITHDRAWS FROM CHAIRMANSHIP RACE

The Transition Committee Chairman of Uyo LGA Barrister Mfon Ben has voluntarily withdrawn from contesting the forthcoming Uyo LGA Chairmanship PDP primaries in the interest of peace.

In an interaction with our corespondents the lawyer cum politician who has performed credibly well gave an insight to his  withdrawal from the race believed that a true leader must learn to sacrifice his personal interest for the overall interest of his people to maintain peace and harmony he also sighted that for Akwa Ibom State to move to another level of development,Uyo being the State capital must always remain peaceful at all times and he has to give other people a chance to also lunch themselves into position of authority.

He promised to work with any Aspirant who emerges as the Chairmanship candidate of the people's Democratic Party and also to continue distribute developmental projects equitably to all the clans of Uyo LGA.

He also promised to most importantly Continue to support the Executive governor of Akwa Ibom State Deacon Udom Emmanuel and the leadership of the party for a peaceful and credible conduct of the forthcoming local government elections.

He pleaded with his supporters and encouraged them to to believe that God has good plans for Uyo LGA.
