It is no longer news that the Akwa Ibom State Government through one of its agencies (SUBEB) has began the process of recruiting at least 3000 NCE holders as teachers into the primary school system. The news here is that the process is a complete failure, due to poor and outdated models and systemic corruption in the system. The visit by Gossips Arena Crew to some of the centers designated for collection of application forms, revealed that there was little or no coordination as even security agencies were found looking away helplessly as applicants fought their lives out to just get the FREE forms. The Board staff were aiding the confusion as most of them arrived the centers as late as 12 noon instead of the designated 8 am daily.
