Ekiti State Governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose, has decried the attack by military men on the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr Nnamdi Kanu, and his supporters in Umuahia, Abia State on Sunday, saying the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government is becoming authoritarian and intolerable of dissenting voices. He stated this in Ado-Ekiti on Monday while fielding questions from newsmen.

Young professionals of Etinan Federal constituency have formed themselves into a pressure group called SAM IKON AMBASSADORS.  According to the progenitor of the group, Comrade Oku Amos who is the southern Iman ward one PDP youth leader, the group came as a way of showing support to the Honorable MP, Rt Hon Sam Ikon and to spread the message of the MP's achievements in the federal house. At the age of 32, Rt Hon Sam Ikon was appointed as a commissioner in the civil service commission, he did so well that the people of Iman(Etinan state constituency) choosed him to represent them in the state House of assembly.  He was elected the speaker of the 6th assembly and the only one to serve for four years without any impeachment nor chaos. These pathetic losers have added another laughable item in their litany of cheap propaganda, after the unfortunate Nations Cup Qualifier, in which the Super Eagles of  Nigeria lost 0-2, to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, at the Stadium.

Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the purchase of 45 new buses for the improvement of urban transportation within the state capital. Subsequently, approval has been given to the commissioner for Transport and Petroleum Resources for commencement of immediate implementation.
